Scheduling a Consultation

When you schedule a consultation with our office, you get an actual discussion. An attorney will meet with you, carefully review the facts of your case, spend the time to listen to your legal problems and needs, and offer smart solutions. We also believe in educating our clients. That means we are always comfortable explaining why we make specific recommendations, and how they fit into the law and your facts. Our consultations typically take one to two hours.

So, we do charge for consultations. The cost of most consultations ranges from $150-$500 dollars, depending on the case. Our consultations typically range from one to two hours and also include the time we spend reviewing the materials and intake you provide before the meeting. We credit the cost of the consultation if you hire us within seven days of the consultation date. This method has worked well for us since the practice started in 2011. We believe it shows in the referrals we receive from past clients, retired judges, practicing attorneys, financial advisors, Certified Public Accountants, and many other people and professionals. We have even received referrals from attorneys we were on the other side of in past cases.

Client Reviews & Testimonials

  • 5 star review  To plan one's own demise is something that probably makes people a little squeamish, but at the same time, know it is necessary. Mr. Nichols and his staff made the entire process comfortable. He is incredibly knowledgeable about estate planning and even elder law. Being thorough, professional, and patient, he took the necessary time to explain what we had decided for ourselves, and provided insight to other items we hadn't considered, such as the type of estate we wanted to create (trust, will, etc). We never felt rushed, or pushed in to anything. While we did go in with ideas in mind, he knew exactly what was needed to create a solid plan for us. We came out of his meetings with more knowledge than when we went in with, so he was a good educator as well. We feel completely comfortable and at ease with our plan. This great lawyer does come with a reasonable price, and we think we got good value for what we walked away with. We have a plan that reflects the both of us as individuals, and we feel the planning we received was the best option to go with. We received printed portfolios with binders and a digital copy as well for us to keep, and they are by no means short. Don't bother with any online planning if you're not an estate lawyer and don't know precisely what you need. There are many aspects that can very easily be overlooked, which can void that paperwork. Absolutely consult with a real lawyer, and the wife and I wholeheartedly recommend Mr. Nichols. Thank you for all of your time and patience with us through our planning, and coming up with a solid system that will protect our legacy. The Pipers

  • 5 star review  Sean created a will and trust for my husband and I. In advance of hiring him, he spent at least an hour via zoom due to the pandemic and explained all the details and answering all our questions of the different options. He was honest, professional and easy to talk to since we had no experience doing this. We are very happy with the work done. Thanks Sean!

  • 5 star review  Sean was a recommendation when my wife and I needed to update our trust. He not only listened to our needs for the trust, but was very thorough in making sure we were not missing important elements. The timing and process were straightforward and manageable; and when we reviewed the document with our financial advisor, he was complementary of the way in which it was put together. Additionally, post completion, Sean has been very responsive to any questions from us. I would recommend Sean to anyone looking for help with their estate plan.
