With his wife Shabnam Pakneshan Nichols, a double board certified neurologist, giving a unique perspective on medical and senior health issues, Sean is specially qualified for working on these cases. Together, they live in Northville with their two children and are active members of the local community.

The founder and managing partner is elder law and estate planning attorney Sean J Nichols. Sean is local to Metro-Detroit, having grown up in Novi, Michigan and having attended Detroit Catholic Central High School. Prior to attending law school, Sean graduated magna cum laude from the University of Michigan, studying economics and philosophy. Sean graduated from the Michigan State University College of Law in 2011, and was admitted to the Michigan Bar the same year.
During law school, Sean was selected for the school’s Vis International Arbitration Moot team, was a member of the school’s Journal of Business and Securities Law, and worked as a clinician at the school’s Business and Nonprofit Clinic.
Sean also worked at Auto-Owners Insurance of Michigan and Elder Law of Michigan. At Auto-Owners, Sean worked on auto accident and premises liability cases, and at Elder Law of Michigan Sean worked on obtaining seniors wrongfully denied pension benefits.
In addition to elder law and estate planning, Sean is also a probate lawyer who dedicated part of his practice to helping clients with matters involving death and inheritance.
Sean is passionate about providing pro bono services to seniors who qualify and to the charities he is involved with, such as the Ancient Order of Hibernians. He is a proud member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Knights of Columbus.
